Born in Oranjemund, Namibia in 1958, Theo Paul Vorster started taking art classes at the school and went on to complete a BA degree in Graphic Art at

the University of Stellenbosch. At first he followed a career in marketing, but from 1996 he perused art full time.

Theo uses the 14^th Century method of copperplate etching, adding features like embossing. He explores his surroundings by combining familiar scenes with history,

 folklore and mythology in a humorous manner. All etchings are hand printed on 300 gram, 50% cotton paper and individually hand coloured with watercolour.

His works can be found in private and corporate collections, both in South Africa as well as overseas.
