Dale was born in Queenstown in the Eastern Cape. Under the guidance and encouragement of his parents,

he started exhibiting at group exhibitions at an early age.After matriculating, he studied BA(Law) and LLB and worked in the family firm for 10 years.

In the 80's he sold the firm and turned to professional painting.

Dale has held many exhibitions on a national scale. He has qualified as a associate of the

Watercolour Society of South Africa and has launched two videos on his oil and watercolour techniques.

He has been the guest artist with one-man exhibitions at two major art festivals, the Klein Karoo Kunstefees and the Nederburg Knysna Arts Experience.

He has also been the chosen one for the Nederburg International Wine Auction for the second time.
